Walt Disney World

My family and I, along with my in-laws and brother-in-law’s family are heading out to the “happiest place on earth” this June, and I have been doing lots of surfing on the web to prepare.  Although we have been on a Disney cruise and have perused the sites of Downtown Disney, our family has never been inside the parks.  There are many websites that offer a plethora of information from money-saving tips to making the most of your park experience.  One site I have found most helpful is MouseSavers.com.  It is hosted by a variety of contributors who have lots of hands on experience and a wealth of information.  Some things you may find on MouseSavers.com are lodging (types of lodging, range in prices, location, etc.),  food options within the hotels and the parks and also off property, transportation options, ticket pricing, and many other areas of interest regarding a Disney vacation.

One thing I like about the site is the money-saving tips.   It discusses options for ticket plans and what may be the best option for your family based on the length of your stay and the attractions you plan on visiting.  The site gives a very good comparison on the different plans, how they break down, and how you may be spending money for included options you may not necessarily be interested in.  There is plenty of information on food options within the parks and how much you can plan to spend.  It even offers less expensive ways of eating breakfast and lunch in the park that you may have otherwise not known about.  Without reading it on this site, I may not have thought that we could bring our own drinks and snacks into the parks, which would save a substantial amount if soft drinks are two or three dollars a pop.

There is other information offered on the website regarding, Disneyland, Disney cruises, transportation, shopping, Disney shows, other Disney vacations, and non-Disney attractions within the Orlando and Southern California areas.  It offers a variety of book and magazine sources where the site has been featured as a great portal of information.  The site has many followers that report in on a regular basis regarding new finds they have discovered on their most recent trip to WDW.   I always prefer to hear the tried-and-true tips from fellow travellers.  They always make it seem like I made a great find when their tips make our trip more enjoyable.

Whether you’re planning a Disney vacation this year or sometime in the future, check out MouseSavers.com.  You may be surprised in all the great information you find there.  You may just decide to take a trip out to see Mickey just so you can use all the great tips you found.
